Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Peak State Wealth (the “Service”) is operated by Peak State Global (“we”, “us”, “our”). We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Because the Service exists to aggregate your financial data, we treat that data with particular care.
1. What we collect
- Account information— your name, email address, and authentication details, managed through our sign-in provider.
- Financial data you connect or upload— transactions, account balances, invoices, bills, budgets, and related records from sources you authorise (such as accounting platforms, banking APIs, and personal-finance services) or from CSV/OFX files you upload.
- Content you create in the Service— budgets, categories, rules, goals, notes, and preferences.
- Technical information— device type, browser, IP address, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies and local storage— used for sign-in sessions and remembering preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you (registration, uploads, content you create), automatically as you use the Service (technical data), and from third-party sources you explicitly connect. Connections to financial sources use the access method the provider supports — read-only wherever available — and you can disconnect a source at any time, which stops new collection from it.
3. How we use your information
- to provide the Service — dashboards, budgets, trends, goals, and insights;
- to categorise and analyse your financial data, including automated and AI-assisted transaction categorisation;
- to authenticate you and keep your account secure;
- to provide support and respond to your requests;
- to monitor, debug, and improve the Service;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.
4. AI processing
Some features send limited data (for example, transaction descriptions and amounts) to an AI provider to categorise transactions or generate insights. This data is used only to produce the result returned to you; we do not permit our AI providers to use your data to train their models.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the Service — authentication, database and hosting infrastructure, data warehousing and analytics, background job processing, and AI processing — each bound to use it only to provide their service to us. We may also disclose information where required by law (for example, to a court or regulator) or as part of a genuine business restructure or sale, subject to equivalent privacy protections.
6. Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where personal information is disclosed overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles it consistently with the APPs, as required by APP 8.
7. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and read-only credentials for financial connections where the provider supports them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain your information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us; we will delete it except where we are legally required to retain it. Disconnecting a financial source stops new collection but does not by itself delete previously imported data — ask us if you want that removed too.
9. Access, correction, and portability
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or request an export, by emailing contact@peakstate.global. We will respond within a reasonable period as required by the APPs.
10. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or by phone on 1300 363 992.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Contact
